By default when defecting to a new kingdom the game server will use the clans option first, the friends option second, and the time available as a last resort.
Clans:
To Register a clan you must have signed up to be a
registered user for at least 1 year. (Please note that you do not have
to be a registered user to become a clan member). To register a clan
visit http://www.abandonedcastle.com/clansignup.html.
To become a clan member visit http://www.abandonedcastle.com/clanmanagement.html.
To become a clan member you will have to be accepted by the clan elders.
They will assign you a sub clan. Clans are allowed up to 3 sub clans
and it is the sub clan number that determines what kingdom you will be
placed in.
When using this method there are a few reasons that you may not be placed in the kingdom you desired:
1.) You have petitioned to become a clan member but have not become accepted. Solution: Talk to the clan leader or clan elders and have them accept you as a member.
2.) You have a different sub clan id then the kingdom you are wishing to join. Solution: Talk to the clan leader or clan elders and have them change your sub clan id to the same cub clan id of the kindom that you wish to join.
3.) The Kingdom you want to get to has there Kingdom Join Mode set up to Accept No One or set to Accept friends only and you are not a friend of someone in that kingdom. Solution: Talk to the hand or state(with executive privileges) to set the Kingdom Join Mode to Accept Clan Members, Accept Clan Members and Friends, or Accept Everyone.
4.) The Kingdom is already full. Please check the maps just because a kingdom has a spot that says Vacant doesn't mean it doesn't have a player already associated with that province. Click on the province that says Vacant and make sure they don't have a player name associated with that province. Solution: Wait for an opening in that kingdom or talk to the leaders of that kingdom to exile a province.
5.) Someone in that Kingdom already has an account and you are using the same machine as they are. Note: This also applies to computers on the same network that share a common IP address. Solution: To prevent multi accounts you must register your account at http://www.abandonedcastle.com/registration.html for a small fee.
Friends:
You are allowed up to two friends in the game. To set
up your friends list visit http://www.abandonedcastle.com/accountinfo.html.
Near the bottom of that page you can set up your friends. Please note
that you will have to use the login name of your friend (not there player
name which appears in chat). Many times a users login name is the same
the players name but not always. Ask your friend what there login name
is. Also note that the login name is case-sensitive which means that
capitalization matters. For instance the login name Ishknock is
different than ishknock.
When using this method there are a few reasons that you may not be placed in the kingdom you desired
1.) The kingdom you want to join has their Kingdom Join Mode set to Accept No One or to Accept Clan Members Only. Solution: Solution: Talk to the hand or state(with executive privileges) to set the Kingdom Join Mode to Accept Clan Members and Friends, Accept Friends, or Accept Everyone.
2.) The Kingdom is already full. Please check the maps just because a kingdom has a spot that says Vacant doesn't mean it doesn't have a player already associated with that province. Time Of Day:
This last option is what is used if all of the above
have failed. It places you in a kingdom that has other players that
said they were available to play during the same time you said you were
available to play.
If this did not fix your problem please contact me as a have stated at the top of this email.
